Just as forecasters predicted, a total of 30 inches fell on Milmont Park. Firefighters manned the firehouse, and ran a total of 2 calls in the last 48 hours. Just after the snow started to cripple the town, firefighters were called out to Ohio Ave. to assist EMS crews with shovels, and salt. On Sunday, Tower 49 was dispatched to Village Rd in Folsom for a report of smoke in the building. Tower 49 under the command of Chief Burke, was recalled before arriving on scene. Forecasters are now predicting a second storm, that could possibly drop another 1-2 feet of snow on the Delaware Valley. Milmont will be sure to have a crew on standby, and will run an Engine on all EMS calls in the local.

Storm is A'Coming

Thursday, February 4, 2010
-

A very strong storm is approaching the Delaware Valley. The storm looks to drop anywhere from 12-18 inches of snow. Milmont has already started preparing for the storm, by checking all of the equipment and tools. Milmont will also have a crew standing by for any emergency’s in the local. Firefighters will also assist our EMS crews with lifting and clearing paths with shovels if needed. Residents are reminded to prepare for this storm, and be sure to keep a close eye on the elderly and small children. If the storm gets bad, PLEASE do not go out unless you need to, so that local plowing crews can work to remove the snow from the roadways.
