Just after 5 p.m., the box was struck for the 700 block of 7th Ave. in the Folsom section of the Twp. Tower, Engine, and Utility 49 responded along with the rest of the box alarm. Engine 18-3 arrived on scene to find heavy fire in the rear of a residence home, and went into service with hand lines. Crews from Holmes went to the roof to stand by for ventilation. Firefighters from Milmont Woodlyn and Leedom assisted Folsom with extension and overhaul. The fire was contained to a rear bedroom in the residence, with smoke damage throughout the house. Firefighters were on scene just over 2 hours, before returning and going available.
