The picnic is held for the children who are safeties for their district schools as a way for the association to show their appreciation. This event is a day filled with games and competitions in which all the children compete. The children were entertained by a Police K9 demonstration with Ofc Jones and his partner K9 partner Jax from Aston Township Police along with an appearance by the Phillie Phanatic. The new Ridley Twp Police SUV, Pennsylvania Mounted Police, and a Boeing fire truck were also there for the children to view. Lunch and music were provided also by the association.
